SCARBOROUGH SEEDS Organic Crimson Clover 500 Seeds
Crimson clover can be used to grow sprouts or microgreens and is an ideal cover crop. Certified Organic. Trifolium incarnatum. Non-GMO. Sow in fall or late summer as a cover crop to be turned in in the spring in zones 6 and higher. Used as a summer legume in colder areas where it will usually winterkill. Allow it to flower and the bees will love you.
Crimson Clover cannot be mowed, then recover to blossom, and will die without blooming. This makes it a good subject for a cover crop, because it's easily killed off by mowing before blooming if no longer desired.
Crimson clover grows 8 to 18 inches tall, with a bright red flower spike. Once it's established, it will re-seed itself, die, and repeat the cycle in the fall.
