SCARBOROUGH SEEDS Celeriac Giant Prague (Celery Root) 500 Seeds
120 days. The Giant Prague Celeriac is a relative to celery but is more resistant to frost. The seedlings do best in zones seven and up and can do well with full or partial sun. The roots develop dark green shoots and after harvesting, the Giant Prague Celeriac can be stored for several weeks. Flavor similar to that of Parsley or Celery, the root is harvested for flavoring of soups or salads. Seeds may be started indoors 8 weeks before the last frost. Thrives in mild climates. Seeds should be sown on or close to the surface. Harvest when root is about 4 inches. Great for winter storage.
The Giant Prague Celeriac seeds can be grown in zones seven and warmer and thrive in either full or partial sun. Seeds can be sown indoors, ten to twelve weeks before the last average frost, and hardened off before transplanting outside two weeks before the last frost. The Giant Prague Celeriac prefers rich soil with a pH level of 6 to 7. While growing, the roots will need consistent watering. By inspecting the crops while growing and removing any lateral shoots, you can ensure that the roots will remain smooth. After 120 days, the Giant Prague Celeriac will be ready to harvest.
